About our farm

Feirme Béar Donn means Brown Bear Farm in Gaeilge. We’re a family-run, no-till farm using no pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. We build soil with homemade compost from local kelp, vegetable scraps, spent brewery grain and leaves. This regenerative approach builds resilient soil, supports wildlife and beneficial organisms, and yields nutritious food for our community.

We’re a community-focused farm, dedicated to growing the freshest produce for our island community. At the same time, we work to make healthy, local food more accessible and affordable for everyone.
